Description
SENCITY Rail Excel Antenna (1356.17.0010)
The SENCITY Rail Excel is a rugged railway rooftop directional antenna covering Wi-Fi bands from 4900 to 5975 MHz, with 12 dBi gain and vertical polarisation. Built for rolling-stock use, it meets the EN 50155 railway standard and is fire-retardant to EN 45545-2 (R24 HL3) and NFPA-130. The antenna performs on both metallic and non-metallic surfaces, carries IP67/IP69 ingress protection, and is qualified for high-speed trains up to 500 km/h.

Electrical Remarks
- VSWR values are also valid on non-metallic surfaces (no specific ground plane required).
- Stated gain is achieved on a metallic ground plane of 1 × 1 m or larger.
- High-voltage protection: no voltage on RF port if the catenary line touches the antenna (EN 50124-1, 27.5 kVAC / 1 min).
- High-current protection: designed per UIC 533; DC-grounded element protected against lightning and short circuit with catenary lines (EN 50388, EN 50122-1, 40 kA / 0.1 s).
